SprayLawn Hydroseeding - Logo Design |
|
September 12, 2008 |
|
SprayLawn Hydroseeding is a brand new company offering commercial and residential turf hydroseeding in Springfield and central Illinois. Hydroseeding is an alternative to the traditional process of planting dry grass seed, the wet slurry of hydroseeding promotes quick germination and inhibits soil erosion. I've worked with the owner, Brandon Walker in the past and he contacted me to help him design a striking, fresh design for his new business.
We worked together through many different designs, I created 18 versions of the logo for Brandon and kept taking his considerations and tweaked the design until he was happy. The design process varies for each logo, some are quick and others, like this one take a few weeks. Either way, I don't mind because the end result is perfection for my client - Brandon is thrilled with the design and can't wait to have his stationary and proposals printed so he can show off the new logo.

CrossPointe - Logo Design |
|
September 05, 2008 |
|
CrossPointe is a brand new church in the St. Louis metro area and their pastor, Darren Casper was referred to me through other churches I've worked with in central Illinois and Missouri. Darren had a great idea for their logo design: a rugged cross with roots. After a few rounds of minor changes and color options, here is the final design. Everyone at CrossPointe seems to love the new look.
Right now we're in the process of developing a cutting-edge web site for their church to help them engage with their members and connect with the community. The website will feature many pages of info along with a private bulletin board, image slideshows, as well as audio and video resources for on-site viewing, podcasting or download. |

This is my favorite out of the four logo designs I created for my friend Debbie who is attending Kendall College of Culinary Arts in Chicago. One of her projects this semester is to plan a restaurant or catering business and hopefully she will start this new business and live her dream when she graduates.
The word "caserola" is Spanish for casserole and Debbie is originally from Puerto Rico, so the colors in this logo reflect rich, flavorful Latino foods... but not too spicy, the bistro restaurant will also feature delciious delicacies from other cultures - hence the melting pot concept. It was a fun project and Debbie was very pleased with the logo. |

Fixit Handyman Services - Logo Design |
|
July 13, 2008 |
|
My husband Bryon just started his own business, Fixit Handyman Services. Of course, I designed his logo, website, business cards, truck door magnet and stationary set. In return, I receive free repairs, landscaping, yard work and general household maintenance. It's not a bad trade off, marriage definitely has benefits.
He wanted tools to spell out the word FIXIT - and even came up with ideas to get me started. I had no idea what an F clamp was but it turns out that the shape of this device looks just like a capital F. I also learned a concrete hammer is shaped similarly to a T. The crossed hammer and socket wrench as an X really ties it all together. Who knew you could read tools.
His new business is really doing well and he loves it so far. So, if you're in need of some handyman repairs, give Mr. Fixit a shout: http://www.fixit-handyman.com |

Touch Of Grey - Logo Design |
|
April 16, 2008 |
Well here it is! You are looking at the new logo for Touch Of Grey, a local classic rock and blues band in Springfield, Illinois. The guys in the band really like the design and are excited about sporting an official TOG t-shirt sometime in the near future.
Doc really wanted to have a 45 record spindle incorporated into the design. He figured that any "old hippie" would recognize it immediately, bringing back fond memories of good times and good music from 45 records. What a great idea!
Their website design is my next project and I am spending some time gathering my thoughts for the site. I really want to make this one different, I imagine already that it will be a contrast to the square box mold of more traditional designs. I really like working with other artists, they always give plenty of room for creative freedom.
